Playing with Accentual Verse

Listening to the Australian Poetry Podcast and reading about Senator George Brandis’ hamstringing of the Australia Council I decided to be a bit retro, perhaps even a bit avant-garde* and attempt some political commentary in Accentual Verse:

Flown are the days    of fair funded council
long lies the night      of Liberal reform

* Avant-garde in the sense that most write free-verse and a return to old verse forms might be considered couragous and edgy :)
